Nowitzki replaces Bryant in 3-point competition
Filed Under Lakers |NEW ORLEANS — Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki will replace Kobe Bryant in the 3-point shooting contest Saturday night because the Los Angeles Lakers‘ star has a dislocated pinkie on his right hand.
Bryant’s injury will not keep him out of Sunday night’s All-Star Game in the New Orleans Arena.
Nowitzki, the NBA MVP last season, won the 3-point shootout in 2006. He will compete in the event for the fifth time.

I was really looking forward to seeing him in this. I hope he tries next year. Tied record holder for most 3s in a game, should give others a good run (which I still can’t believe Donyell Marshall tied).
